I am a Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, University of Memphis, Memphis, TN, USA since January 2018. My work focuses on developing novel cyber-physical systems and solutions for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV). Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Inria team, CITI Lab, INSA-Lyon, France from October 2016 to December 2017 where I worked on energy-efficient self-organization of low-power devices for data collection and diffusion in Internet of Things (IoTs).
I have been a visiting research fellow at the Computer Engineering Departement Baskin School of Engineering, University of California Santa Cruz, CA, USA from June 2016 to October 2016. I completed my Ph.D in Computer Science from University Paris-Est, France in November 2016. In May 2013, I received a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Sciences and Technology (SEECS, NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. I obtained a BS degree in Telecommunication Engineering from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES), Islamabad, Pakistan in June 2009.
My research interests are Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Internet of Things (IoTs), Fog/Edge Networking and Information/Content Centric Networks (ICNs/CCNs).
